Plain Bronte: Late Regency, Early Victorian Felt Bonnet: Deep Red/Burgundy
These bonnets are such fun to trim and would be great for any Dickens/Christmas activities you might have planned. The wide brim was popular during the late Regency (see the drawing by Ingres, 1823) and early Victorian era (think A Christmas Carol, published in 1843, which is the inspiration for many caroling ensembles and Dickens Fairs.)
This "Burgundy" bonnet is a darker red/Claret color-- not a really deep burgundy tone, but with deep burgundy ribbon ties.
